In Dortmund, a 9-year-old child was hit by a tram on Bornstraße on Monday (June 13, 2023) at around 1:15 p.m.

According to initial findings, the child ran across Bornstraße in the direction of Saarlandstraße.

The tram coming from the direction of Saarlandstraße could no longer stop in time and hit the child.

The injured child was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

The police have started an investigation into the accident.

The tram traffic in both directions was interrupted until 2 p.m.
