Passengers Share Chilling Footage of Real-Life "The Shining" Moment
In a scene reminiscent of the iconic horror film "The Shining," passengers aboard the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship were met with a chilling sight: blood pouring from an elevator.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when electrician Jose Sandoval Opazo, 66, was killed while working on an elevator. Passengers Matt Davis and his wife Susan captured footage of the aftermath, showing a sheet of blood streaming down the front of the elevator.
Passengers described a scene of chaos and panic as horrified onlookers shielded children from the gruesome sight. The incident cast a dark shadow over the holiday festivities, with many passengers expressing shock and disbelief.
The Carnival Ecstasy was on a Christmas cruise from Miami when the tragedy occurred. The ship has returned to port and the Coast Guard is currently investigating the incident.
