A road safety worker, 45-year-old Ricky Alex Driggers of Lumberton, tragically lost his life on Friday morning after being struck by two cars on Interstate 40 in Wake County.

Driggers was crossing the interstate to return to his vehicle when he was hit and killed. The incident occurred when a stolen vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Ricky Driggers, intentionally crashed into him.
