ATP Rome: Zverev Reaches Semis, Beats Fritz in Quarters

Alexander Zverev advanced to the semifinals of the ATP Rome tournament on Thursday by defeating Taylor Fritz in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. The German will now face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals on Saturday.
Zverev was in control of the match from the start, breaking Fritz's serve in the opening game of the first set. He held serve comfortably throughout the set and broke Fritz again in the eighth game to take the set 6-3.
The second set was more competitive, but Zverev still managed to break Fritz's serve in the seventh game. Fritz broke back immediately, but Zverev broke him again in the ninth game to seal the victory.
