The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad is a live-action stunt show that ran for 19 years at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure. Set in a mysterious grotto, the show was a spectacular setting littered with the wrecks of ships that had been lured to their misfortune by an evil sorcerer.
History of the Show
The Sindbad show was an opening-day attraction for Islands of Adventure in 1999. In 2009, a stunt performer playing Sindbad was injured. The show officially folded in September 2018, leaving Universal with another 2000-seat covered amphitheater abandoned just a few hundred feet from Toon Lagoon.
